Based in West Belfast, MoCo Collective is a growing, community-focused dance company dedicated to educating and developing young people through hip hop and street dance.
We teach the history, foundations, styles, techniques and principles of these art forms while fostering personal growth and transferable life skills. Alongside our regular classes, we run activities and events that promote social engagement and inclusivity across Belfast and beyond.

Open to ALL levels
MoCo Munchkinz (Age 3-6)
A fun introduction to dance, focusing on movement, rhythm and musicality. Children build confidence, coordination and social skills while enjoying an encouraging space that helps friendships grow and sparks a lifelong love of dance.

MoCo MINIZ (Age 7-9)
MoCo MINIZ Introduces the history, style and foundations of street dance in a fun, inclusive way. Dancers grow in confidence through education, technique, musicality and performance opportunities such as shows and workshops.
Beginner/Novice Level
MoCo JNRZ (age 10-13)
Strengthens dance skills and discipline while advancing core foundations. Classes include freestyle, fitness and choreography, preparing dancers for competitions and performances that challenge them to reach their potential.
Intermediate Level
MoCo VARZ (Age 14-17)
Builds on JNRZ with advanced technique and complex variations. Training covers freestyle, fitness and performance while encouraging dancers to create original choreography and refine their personal style for shows and competitions.
Advance Level
MoCo SNRZ (Age 18+)
An intensive dance programme refining technique, creativity and performance. Dancers prepare for teaching, higher education or professional work, enhancing fitness and artistry in a high-energy, supportive environment.
By Audition
MoCo SQUADZ
A competitive team representing MoCo at various shows and events. Squad members train at an advanced level, combining teamwork, creativity and performance to showcase their skills and hard work on larger stages.

Micheál Ó Coigligh
Micheál Ó Coigligh is a Founder, Director, and Choreographer based in West Belfast. He began teaching at the age of 16, earning recognition as one of the youngest Hip Hop dance teachers in Ireland. Rapidly achieving success, Micheál led his dance company to numerous national and international titles, including Irish and British Hip Hop Championships, All Ireland Hip Hop Championships, and Belfast’s Got Talent. He has choreographed for a wide range of performances, shows, artists, and bands, and has performed at festivals both in Ireland and abroad.
Micheál furthered his professional journey in London, earning a 2:1 BA Hons in Dance (Urban Practice) from the University of East London. He also explored the creative business and events sector, working alongside Marks Summers, one of Europe’s leading casting directors, leveraging his expertise in talent and performance.
Previously, Micheál served as Director of Hip Hop International Ireland for five years, becoming the youngest Director globally among 54 affiliated countries. In this role, he networked with directors, artists, and choreographers worldwide, proudly representing Ireland on the international stage.
With over 1,000 workshops taught and extensive judging experience across Ireland, Micheál’s career has taken him to Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, the UK, France, the Basque Country, and the USA.
He is the founder of Home Hub Belfast, a creative studio space in the heart of West Belfast offering classes, courses, products, and events, and also serves as Founder and Choreographer of MoCo Collective, continuing to inspire the next generation of dancers with his passion, expertise, and creativity.
Ríonach Close
Ríonach Close is an accomplished and versatile dancer with 14 years of dedicated training, currently teaching at MoCo Collective while completing her studies. She has competed both nationally and internationally, including as a two-time competitor at the Hip Hop International World Championship in Arizona, representing her country with distinction.
Ríonach is an All Ireland Champion, UDO British Champion, and SOAR Dance Champion, and has performed across the UK, as well as at Wave 2.0 in Dublin alongside other talented dancers. She has also appeared on BBC television and Q Radio, showcasing her passion and professionalism.
Alongside her performance career, Ríonach trained for four years at St Louise’s College, developing her technical skill and artistry. She achieved an A* in GCSE Dance, exploring Contemporary, Jazz, and Ballet, and continues to advance her training through A Level Dance, combining strong technique with creative expression.
Lilé Lavery
Lilé Lavery began her dance journey at just three years old, training in classical ballet until the age of eighteen and completing all grades from Primary to Grade 8. This strong technical foundation continues to influence her dynamic performance and teaching style today.
At seven, Lilé expanded into hip hop, quickly discovering a passion for the style. By nine, she had advanced to Spectrum Champion level dancer, marking the start of an impressive competitive career. In 2014, she proudly represented Ireland at the World Hip Hop Championships in Las Vegas, reaching the semi-finals with her crew. She continued to compete internationally, qualifying for the World Hip Hop Championships in both 2019 and 2023, representing Ireland in Varsity and Mini Crew divisions.
Lilé has trained with a wide range of renowned choreographers across the UK and Ireland, continually refining her technique and creative voice. Most recently, she trained with ON Dance Studios in Seville, Spain, during a semester abroad, further enriching her international experience.
With her strong classical foundation and extensive world-level hip hop experience, Lilé brings passion, discipline, and creativity to every class. She is dedicated to inspiring confidence, technical excellence, and a genuine love of dance in every student.

Expert Coaching

Our founder Micheal graduated with a BA Hons Dance (urban practice) from the University of East London. This course is the only degree in Europe to provide a dance degree that specialises in street dance practices. He specialises in these practices and is an expert in this field. Our other instructors are fully qualified and assist Micheal with his vision. They have 10+ years of experience in competing, showcasing and have represented Ireland in the biggest Hip Hop Dance events in the world. The MoCo Collective Team have a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills to nurture all dancers, no matter their dance experience
